TELISTA D Tablet, ( Telmisartan ) for the treatment High blood pressure ( hypertension ).

Indapamide is a medication for heart diseases. This includes High blood pressure ( hypertension ), edema ( fluid retention ) due to congestive heart failure.

How it Work

Telmisartan is angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by relaxing blood vessels which lower the blood pressure and also reduces the workload on the heart. Moreover, It is believed that telmisartan’s dual mode of action may provide protective benefits against the vascular and renal damage caused by diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Indapamide act by lowering the blood pressure and swelling by removing extra water and electrolytes from the body.
as a result it lower the high blood pressure.

Common Side Effects

Telmisartan; Common Side effects are similar to other angiotensin II receptor antagonists and include tachycardia and bradycardia (fast or slow heartbeat), hypotension (low blood pressure), edema (swelling of arms, legs, lips, tongue, or throat, the latter leading to breathing problems), and allergic reactions.

Indapamide; Common side effects include Headache, Nausea, Increased blood uric acid, electrolyte disturbances ( Decreased potassium level in blood ), Altered blood lipids, Glucose intolerance. Also Orthostatic Hypotension ( blood pressure decrease on standing up
