PACITANE, ( Trihexyphenidyl ) is an antiparkinsonian agent of the antimuscarinic class. For the Treatment of Parkinson’s disease, it may provide substantial alleviation of symptoms
How it Work
Trihexyphenidyl; for the symptomatic treatment of Parkinson’s disease in mono and combination therapy. The drug is also commonly use to treat extrapyramidal side effects occurring during antipsychotic treatment. To increase therapeutic activity trihexyphenidyl is often given concomitantly with levodopa.
Common Side Effects
Common side effects include; drowsiness, vertigo, headache, dizziness. dry mouth, impaired sweating, abdominal discomfort, nausea, and constipation.
