Uses of  EVOLEX 5 mg Tablet

EVOLEX; In constipation. to clean out the intestines before a bowel examination/surgery. Bisacodyl is known as a stimulant laxative.

How it Work

It works by increasing the movement of the intestines, helping the stool to come out. Hence relieves constipation. Bisacodyl works by stimulating enteric nerves to cause colonic contractions. It is also a contact laxative; it increases fluid and salt secretion. The action of bisacodyl on the small intestine is negligible; stimulant laxatives mainly promote evacuation of the colon

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include Some degree of abdominal discomfort, nausea, cramps, griping, and/or faintness with therapeutic doses. Diarrhea, GI irritation, and fluid and electrolyte depletion. Gastric irritation and the possibility of vomiting if the enteric coating of tablets is disrupted. so a safe medicine.
