Uses of ATELOL D Tablet
ATELOL D, ( Indapamide and Atenolol )is a medication for heart diseases. This includes High blood pressure ( hypertension ), edema ( fluid retention ) due to congestive heart failure, and arrhythmias.
Atenolol for a number of conditions including hypertension, angina, long QT syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.
How it Work
Indapamide act by lowering the blood pressure and swelling by removing extra water and electrolytes from the body.
as a result it lower the high blood pressure.
Atenolol is one of the most widely used β-blockers. It works by slowing down the heart and reducing its workload. Hence lowers the high blood pressure.
Common Side Effects
Common side effects include Headache, Nausea, Increased blood uric acid, electrolyte disturbances ( Decreased potassium level in blood ), Altered blood lipids, Glucose intolerance. Also Orthostatic Hypotension ( blood pressure decrease on standing up) .
