Uses of VICTOZA Pre Filled Pen

Victoza ( Liragutide ) in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Liraglutide is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist. Victoza stimulate pancreas to release more insulin when sugar levels are high.It also lowers the sugar hormone (glucagon) and slows the emptying of the stomach. Insulin lowers blood sugar from the blood into other body tissues where it is used for energy.

It decreases appetite So inhibits body weight gain.

It lowers blood triglyceride levels So improve lipid profile.

Common Side Effect

Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea and, Moreover Hypoglycaemia (Low blood sugar level).
