Uses of  ROZUCOR Gold 20 Tablet

ROZUCOR Gold is a combination of Rosuvastatin+Aspirin+Clopidogrel, ( Rosuvastatin ) The primary use of rosuvastatin is for the treatment of dyslipidemia ( abnormal amount of lipids e.g. triglycerides, cholesterol and/or fat phospholipids) in the blood and for prevention of events associated with cardiovascular disease. Hence lowers the cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Also for lowering LDL level in blood.

Aspirin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAID) and works similar to other NSAIDs but it is also antiplatelet and suppresses the normal functioning of platelets.

( Clopidogrel ) to treat various heart conditions such as heart attack, unstable angina and stroke in people who are at high risk of these events.

How it Work 

Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme found in liver tissue that plays a key role in the production of cholesterol in the body. Hence it lowers ( LDL ) bad cholesterol and triglycerides and ( HDL ) raise good cholesterol.

Aspirin works similar to other NSAIDs but it is also antiplatelet and suppresses the normal functioning of platelets. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain, swelling, and blood clots.

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medication. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together. Hence decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. This lower the chance of heart attack or stroke.

Common Side Effects

Rosuvastatin; Common side effects are a headache, nausea, allergic reaction, musculoskeletal pain, the rise in the liver enzyme, sore throat, chill, diarrhea or constipation, the rise in glucose level in blood and flatulence.

Aspirin; Common side effects include an upset stomach. More significant side effects include stomach ulcers, stomach bleeding, and worsening asthma. Bleeding risk is greater among those who are older, drink alcohol, take other NSAIDs, or are on blood thinners. Aspirin is not for the last part of pregnancy.

Clopidogrel; Common side effects are a headache, nausea, easy bruising, itching, and heartburn. or abdominal pain.
