Uses of  ROLISTAT 10 mg Tablet

ROLISTAT, ( Rosuvastatin ) The primary use of rosuvastatin is for the treatment of dyslipidemia ( abnormal amount of lipids e.g. triglycerides, cholesterol and/or fat phospholipids) in the blood and for prevention of events associated with cardiovascular disease. Hence lowers the cholesterol  and triglycerides in blood. Also for lowering LDL level in blood.

How it Work 

Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme found in liver tissue that plays a key role in production of cholesterol in the body. Hence it lowers ( LDL ) bad cholesterol and triglycerides and ( HDL ) raise good cholesterol.

Common Side Effects

Rosuvastatin; Common side effects are headache, nausea, allergic reaction, musculoskeletal pain, rise in liver enzyme, sore throat, chill, diarrhoea or constipation, rise in glucose level in blood and flatulence.
