Uses of PIOGLIT MF 30
In the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
Pioglitazone As monotherapy. When diet and exercise alone adequate and for whom metformin is inappropriate.
As dual oral therapy in combination with metformin. In patients with insufficient glycaemic control despite maximal tolerated dose of monotherapy with metformin, sulphonylurea, or insulin. Pioglitazone is a prescription drug of the class thiazolidinedione. Moreover It works by helping to restore your body’s proper response to insulin, thereby lowering your blood sugar.
Metformin is use to treat the patients with type 2 diabetes with a proper diet and exercise program. Possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. It works by helping to restore your body’s proper response to the insulin you naturally produce. the amount of sugar that your liver makes and that your stomach/intestines absorb also decreased.
