Uses of  PERIGARD 2 mg Tablet

PERIGARD 2 mg, ( Perindopril )  is a medication for heart diseases. In the management of High blood pressure ( hypertension ), heart failure, or stable coronary artery disease.

How it Work 

Perindopril, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

Normally, angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II by an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II constricts blood vessels, increasing blood pressure. By inhibiting the ACE, Hence it decreases levels of angiotensin II leading to less vasoconstriction and decreased blood pressure. thereby it lowers the blood pressure. Hence As a result it relaxes the heart and work more efficiently. Moreover use either by mouth or injection into a vein.

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include increase in serum creatinine and urea level may reported. Also headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, cough and vomiting.
