NORMOPRIL, ( Lisinopril )  is a medication for heart diseases. In the management of High blood pressure ( hypertension ),

congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, and diabetic nephropathy.

How it Work 

Lisinopril, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

Normally, angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II by an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II constricts blood vessels, increasing blood pressure. By inhibiting the ACE, Hence it decreases levels of angiotensin II leading to less vasoconstriction and decreased blood pressure. thereby it lowers the blood pressure. Hence As a result it relaxes the heart and work more efficiently. Moreover use either by mouth or injection into a vein.

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include increase in serum creatinine level, and cough. Also headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.
