Uses of  LIPAGLYN Tablet

LIPAGLYN, ( Saroglitazar ) for the treatment of diabetic dyslipidemia and hyper-tri-glyceridemia ( high level of triglycerides, cholesterol,) with type 2 diabetes mellitus not controlled by statin therapy. Hence, in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

How it Work

Saroglitazar acts as a dual PPAR agonist at the subtypes α (alpha) and γ (gamma) of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR). Agonist action at PPARα lowers high blood triglycerides, and agonist action on PPARγ improves insulin resistance, and Consequently lowers blood sugar. All in all, It increase the oxidation of fatty acid in liver Hence restricts the release of fat in the blood. Hence, improve lipid profile.

Common side effect includes; Weakness, No major serious adverse events.
