How it Work
Risedronic acid is a bisphosphonate drug. Risedronate inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone-resorption ( in the bone
). So that the Treatment of post-menopausal women and people with osteogenesis imperfecta with Alendronic acid has demonstrated normalization of the rate of bone turnover. Hence significant increase in BMD (bone mineral density) of the spine, hip, wrist and total body, and significant reductions in the risk of vertebral (spine) fractures, wrist fractures, hip fractures, and all non-vertebral fractures. Hence, in the treatment Post menopausal osteoporosis.

Common side effect includes; Gastric and duodenal ulceration may also occur, skin rash, general muscle, joint, and bone pain.
