FENOXENE, ( Phenoxybenzamine ) in the treatment of hypertension, and So It has a slower onset and a longer-lasting effect compared with other alpha blockers.
How it Work
Phenoxybenzamine is a non-selective, irreversible alpha blocker. Phenoxybenzamine as an anti-hypertensive due to its efficacy in reducing the vasoconstriction ( due to epinephrine and norepinephrine ). Hence it lowers the high blood pressure.
Common Side Effects
Common side effects include Weakness, Dizziness, Ejaculation disorder, Constriction of pupil, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), Bronchoconstriction, Gastrointestinal discomfort, Nasal congestion or Tachycardia ( high heart rate).
