Uses of  DIOVAN 80 mg Tablet

DIOVAN 80 mg, ( Valsartan ) for the treatment of hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other anti hypertensive agents High blood pressure ( hypertension ), and congestive heart failure.

How it Work 

Valsartan, is an  angiotensin II receptor antagonist. that is, they block the activation of angiotensin II AT₁ receptors. Blockage of AT₁ receptors directly causes vasodilation, reduces secretion of vasopressin, and Hence reduces production and secretion of aldosterone, among other actions. Hence, The combined effect reduces blood pressure.

Common Side Effects

Valsartan; Common side effects include Headache, Nausea, chest pain, fatigue, dizziness, low blood pressure and rashes.
