Uses of  COVERSYL PLUS Tablet

COVERSYL PLUS, ( Perindopril )  is a medication for heart diseases. In the management of High blood pressure ( hypertension ), heart failure, or stable coronary artery disease.

Indapamide, is a medication for heart diseases. This includes High blood pressure ( hypertension ), edema ( fluid retention ) due to congestive heart failure.

 How it Work 

Perindopril, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

Normally, angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II by an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II constricts blood vessels, increasing blood pressure. By inhibiting the ACE, Hence it decreases levels of angiotensin II leading to less vasoconstriction and decreased blood pressure. thereby it lowers the blood pressure. Hence As a result it relaxes the heart and work more efficiently. Moreover use either by mouth or injection into a vein.

Indapamide act by lowering the blood pressure and swelling by removing extra water and electrolytes from the body.
as a result it lower the high blood pressure.

 Common Side Effects

Common side effects of Perindopril include increase in serum creatinine and urea level may reported. Also headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, cough and vomiting.

Common side effects of Indapamide include Headache, Nausea, Increased blood uric acid, electrolyte disturbances ( Decreased potassium level in blood ), Altered blood lipids, Glucose intolerance. Also Orthostatic Hypotension ( blood pressure decrease on standing up) .
