CARDACE Protect,  ( Ramipril+Atorvastatin ) is a medication for heart diseases. This includes High blood pressure ( hypertension ),  heart failure and kidney damage due to diabetes with protein in the urine. when need to lowers the cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.

 How it Work 

Ramipril, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

By inhibiting an enzyme, ACE inhibitors relax the muscles around small arteries (arterioles). The arterioles expand and allow blood to flow through more easily. This reduces blood pressure.

( Normally, angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II by an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Angiotensin II constricts blood vessels, increasing blood pressure. By inhibiting the ACE, Hence it decreases levels of angiotensin II leading to less vasoconstriction and decreased blood pressure. thereby it lowers the blood pressure. Hence, As a result, the heart relaxes and work more efficiently. Moreover, use either by mouth or injection into a vein.)

Atorvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme found in liver tissue that plays a key role in the production of cholesterol in the body. Hence it lowers ( LDL ) bad cholesterol and triglycerides and ( HDL ) raise good cholesterol.

Common Side Effects

Common side effects include Headache, Nausea, chest pain, fatigue, dizziness, light-headedness due to low blood pressure and dry cough.
