Uses of BETATROP Tablet
BETATROP Tablet, Atenolol for a number of conditions including hypertension, angina, long QT syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.
( Nifedipine ) to manage angina, high blood pressure, Raynaud’s phenomenon, and premature labor. It is one of the treatments of choice for Prinzmetal angina. Also It may be use in the treatment of severe high blood pressure in pregnancy.
How it Work
Atenolol is one of the most widely used β-blockers. It works by slowing down the heart and reducing its workload. Hence lowers the high blood pressure.
Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker. It blocks the transmembrane influx of calcium into the vascular and cardiac smooth muscles resulting in vasodilation and hence a fall in blood pressure. Hence lower the blood pressure.
