Uses of  ATORMAC 10 mg Tablet

ATORMAC, ( Atorvastatin ) primarily as a lipid-lowering agent and for the prevention of events associated with cardiovascular disease. Hence lowers the cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Also for an increase in LDL level in blood.

How it Work 

Atorvastatin works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme found in liver tissue that plays a key role in the production of cholesterol in the body. Hence it lowers ( LDL ) bad cholesterol and triglycerides and ( HDL ) raise good cholesterol.

Common Side Effects

Atorvastatin; Common side effects are headache, nausea, allergic reaction, musculoskeletal pain, rise in the liver enzyme, rise in creatine phosphokinase level in blood, diarrhea or constipation, rise in glucose level in blood and flatulence.
